Mouride Sufi order (Islam) Sites

Sites of the Mouride order, a Sufi brotherhood within Islam founded in Senegal in the late nineteenth century by Amadou Bamba. The Great Mosque of Touba, the order's spiritual capital, anchors this grouping and draws the annual Grand Magal pilgrimage, which can bring millions of Mourides to the city. The grouping is kept separate from the general Islamic Sites category because Mouride devotion centres on Bamba and Touba specifically rather than on the wider sites Muslims hold sacred across traditions.
