The virtues of character Aristotle catalogues in the Nicomachean Ethics, each a mean between an excess and a deficiency of some disposition. This atlas files Aristotle's own Courage and Temperance under the separate Cardinal Virtues heading, where their medieval Latin descendants already live; this heading holds the virtues from Aristotle's list that have no such later Latin counterpart already catalogued here.
