The Nine Centres

The nine centres of the Human Design bodygraph are the hubs that its gates and channels connect, the Head, Ajna, Throat, G (identity), Heart (ego), Sacral, Spleen, Solar Plexus and Root. They are adapted from the chakra system but reorganised into nine rather than seven, and in a given chart each centre is either "defined" (consistently active) or "open" (undefined and receptive).

The pattern of defined and open centres determines a person's Human Design type and is read for how they take in and process different energies, a defined centre a source of reliable energy, an open centre a place of conditioning and potential wisdom.
