Limitation, an Accepted Ground for a Worthy Risk

The Juxtaposition Cross of Limitation is named for Gate 60 and Gate 56. Human Design reads Gate 60, from Hexagram 60, Limitation, sits in the Root and is read as the acceptance of limitation as the only ground real change can grow from; and Gate 56, from Hexagram 56, The Wanderer, sits in the Throat and is read as the storyteller who stimulates others with ideas drawn from experience. Juxtaposition Crosses form their own family, belonging only to the four line one profile, and Human Design reads them as the tightest, least steerable of the three kinds.

Its design half is Gate 28 and Gate 27, the same two gates the Left Angle Cross of Alignment carries as its own personality half. Gate 28 sits in the Spleen and is read as the search for something worth risking a life for; it pairs with Gate 38 in the channel of Struggle. Gate 27 sits in the Sacral centre and is read as the instinct to feed, protect and take responsibility for others; it pairs with Gate 50 in the channel of Preservation.

So a chart carrying this cross accepts a limit while telling stories drawn from it on the surface, while beneath it a search for worthy risk answers to a nourishing care for others. The hexagrams are ancient; grouping them into one incarnation cross is the modern system's own construction.
