The Right Angle Cross of Eden is named for Gate 36 and Gate 6, and its first article notes this exact four gate combination, with design counterparts Gate 11 and Gate 12, names no mirror or sibling anywhere among the system's other crosses. What it does not trace is where those four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this singular combination draws one gate from each of the four.
Gate 36, the personality gate, falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind. Gate 6, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding. Behind them, Gate 11 falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation, and Gate 12 falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form.
So the crisis and guarded intimacy the first article reads on this cross's surface answer to the arcs of mind and bonding, while the fullness of ideas and cautious voice beneath them answer to the arcs of transformation and form. A combination the system pairs with nothing else still follows the wheel's ordinary rule: four gates, four different Quarters, none sharing an arc, its singularity a matter of which four hexagrams met rather than of how they are spread across the mandala.
