This article records tradition as it has been passed down and reported. Its sources are not yet part of the atlas's verified catalogue.
The Juxtaposition Cross of Commitment is named here for Gate 29 and Gate 30. Its first article reads Gate 29 as a Sacral yes that, once given, perseveres to the end whatever the cost, now the more exposed gate, and Gate 30 as the longing and intensity of feeling that pulls a person into experience. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this cross draws one gate from each of the four.
Gate 29, the personality gate here, falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding. Gate 30, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind. Behind them, Gate 20 falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form, and Gate 34 falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation.
So the persevering yes and the pulling longing the first article reads on this cross's surface answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, while the present awareness and the raw power beneath them, in fact one live connected channel rather than two separate pressures, answer to the arcs of form and transformation. The same pair, exchanged, is this cross's own reversal, the Juxtaposition Cross of Fates, and, held instead in the Left Angle family, the Cross of Industry, both orderings. Unlike most of its cohort, this cross has no Right Angle kin at all: no Right Angle cross anywhere in the corpus is built from either of its two personality gates, the same absence already found on the Cross of Risks. Four gates, four different Quarters, no pair sharing an arc, yet no third family claims this particular pair.
