Left Angle Cross of Education is a Left Angle Incarnation Cross built on Gate 11 and Gate 12. Gate 11, Ideas And Meaning (Hexagram 11, Peace), sits in the Ajna and is read as a mind full of ideas and concepts that want to be told; Gate 12, Cautious Expression (Hexagram 12, Standstill), sits in the Throat and is read as expression that arrives only in the right mood and the right moment. It falls in the Left Angle family, which practitioners read as fated in flavour, serving something beyond the individual rather than a self chosen plan. The numbers are inherited from the I Ching; reading them as one cross belongs to the modern reading, not the classical one.

Education, Untold Ideas Serving an Identity of Innocence

The Left Angle Cross of Education is named for Gate 11 and Gate 12, the same pair the Juxtaposition Cross of Articulation carries in reverse. Human Design reads Gate 11, from Hexagram 11, Peace, sits in the Ajna and is read as a mind full of ideas and concepts that want to be told; and Gate 12, from Hexagram 12, Standstill, sits in the Throat and is read as expression that arrives only in the right mood and the right moment. It falls in the Left Angle family, which practitioners read as fated in flavour, serving something beyond the individual rather than a self chosen plan.

Its design half is Gate 46 and Gate 25, both seated in the G, or Identity, centre. Gate 46 is read as a love of the body and a knack for arriving in the right place at the right time; it pairs with Gate 29 in the channel of Discovery. Gate 25 is read as an innocence that places universal love above particular attachment; it pairs with Gate 51 in the channel of Initiation.

So a chart carrying this cross holds an untold fullness of ideas against a caution about when to speak them, while beneath it an Identity centre pair of bodily love and impersonal innocence carries the design half. The numbers are inherited from the I Ching; reading them as one cross belongs to the modern reading, not the classical one.

Education, Untold Ideas Ahead and the Same Four Quarters

This article records tradition as it has been passed down and reported. Its sources are not yet part of the atlas's verified catalogue.

This Left Angle Cross of Education completes its two role arrangements with this ordering, Gate 11 and Gate 12 exposed, untold ideas ahead of cautious expression. Its first article reads Gate 11 as a mind full of ideas and concepts that want to be told, now the more exposed gate, and Gate 12 as expression that arrives only in the right mood and the right moment. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this ordering draws one gate from each of the four.

Gate 11, the personality gate here, falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation. Gate 12, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form. Behind them, Gate 46 falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding, and Gate 25 falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind.

So the untold ideas and the cautious voice the first article reads on this ordering's surface answer to the arcs of transformation and form, while the bodily love and the impersonal innocence beneath them answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, the same four arcs the earlier ordering of Education also draws on however its two pairs are assigned to personality and design. With both arrangements in place, Education's two gate pairs share the same wheel wide spread, one gate from each Quarter regardless of order.
