The Right Angle Cross of Laws, named here as Gate 50 and Gate 3, carries the same pair as its counterpart with sun and earth exchanged. Human Design reads Gate 50, from Hexagram 50, The Cauldron, as the instinctive sense of responsibility that guards a group and decides its rules, now the more exposed gate, and Gate 3, from Hexagram 3, Difficulty at the Beginning, as the pressure to bring order out of a genuinely new start. It falls in the Right Angle family, and practitioners describe that group as the personal one, a direction shaped by what the individual decides.

Its design half is Gate 56 and Gate 60. Gate 56 sits in the Throat and is read as the storyteller, stimulating others with ideas drawn from experience; elsewhere it pairs with Gate 11 in the channel of Curiosity. Gate 60 sits in the Root and is read as the acceptance of limitation, the only ground from which real change can grow; it pairs with Gate 3, the same gate that carries this cross's own personality earth placement, in the channel of Mutation.

Putting guarded responsibility ahead of the pressure to begin reverses which half of the law is announced first, while a storyteller and an acceptance of limits sit beneath either ordering.
