Right Angle Cross of Laws is a Right Angle Incarnation Cross built on Gate 60 and Gate 56. Gate 60, Acceptance Of Limits (Hexagram 60, Limitation), sits in the Root and is read as the acceptance of limitation as the ground real change grows from; Gate 56, The Storyteller (Hexagram 56, The Wanderer), sits in the Throat and is read as the one who stimulates others with ideas drawn from experience. It sits in the Right Angle family, the most populous of the three, and Human Design reads that family as steered chiefly by personal choice. Both hexagrams are old texts; pairing them this way as a life direction dates from the system's founding in 1987.

Laws, Limits Chosen Ahead of the Story

This Right Angle Cross of Laws is named for Gate 60 and Gate 56 rather than Gate 56 and Gate 60, accepted limitation placed ahead of the storyteller's stimulation. Human Design reads Gate 60, from Hexagram 60, Limitation, as the acceptance of limitation as the ground real change grows from, and Gate 56, from Hexagram 56, The Wanderer, as the one who stimulates others with ideas drawn from experience. It sits in the Right Angle family, the most populous of the three, and Human Design reads that family as steered chiefly by personal choice.

Its design half is Gate 50 and Gate 3, both exchanged in the same way. Gate 50 sits in the Spleen and is read as values, the instinctive sense of responsibility that guards a group and decides its rules; elsewhere it pairs with Gate 27 in the channel of Preservation. Gate 3 sits in the Sacral centre and is read as the energy to bring order out of the confusion that attends anything genuinely new; it pairs with Gate 60 in the channel of Mutation.

Reversing which gate carries the Sun puts accepted limitation ahead of a wanderer's story, while the design half still answers with the same guarded values and Sacral ordering pressure. The hexagrams are old texts; pairing them this way as a life direction dates from 1987.

Laws, Limits Ahead and the Same Four Quarters

This article records tradition as it has been passed down and reported. Its sources are not yet part of the atlas's verified catalogue.

This Right Angle Cross of Laws is named for Gate 60 and Gate 56 rather than Gate 56 and Gate 60, accepted limitation exposed ahead of the storyteller's stimulation. Its first article reads Gate 60 as the acceptance of limitation as the ground real change grows from, and Gate 56 as the one who stimulates others with ideas drawn from experience. What it does not trace is where the four gates sit on the wheel itself, the Human Design mandala's division of its sixty four gates into four Quarters, and by that measure this ordering draws one gate from each of the four.

Gate 60, the personality gate here, falls in the Quarter of Mutation, purpose fulfilled through transformation. Gate 56, its personality partner, falls in the Quarter of Civilization, purpose fulfilled through form. Behind them, Gate 50 falls in the Quarter of Duality, purpose fulfilled through bonding, and Gate 3 falls in the Quarter of Initiation, purpose fulfilled through mind.

So the accepted limitation and the storyteller's stimulation the first article reads on this ordering's surface answer to the arcs of transformation and form, while the guarded responsibility and the pressure to begin beneath them answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, the same four arcs the rest of the Laws family draws on however its two pairs are assigned and ordered. Reversing which gate carries the Sun changes what this variant puts forward, but not which Quarters supply its four gates.
