Right Angle Cross of the Four Ways (44/24)

The Right Angle Cross of the Four Ways is named for Gate 44 and Gate 24. Human Design reads Gate 44, from Hexagram 44, Coming to Meet, sitting in the Spleen, as an instinctive memory for people and patterns, a nose for who can be relied on; and Gate 24, from Hexagram 24, Return, sitting in the Ajna, as rationalisation that returns, a mind circling the same thought until it finally resolves. It belongs to the Right Angle family, the largest of the system's three, read as a personal destiny that answers mainly to the individual's own choices.

Its design half is Gate 33 and Gate 19. Gate 33 sits in the Throat and is read as the need to withdraw and hold an experience privately before telling it as something learned; it pairs with Gate 13 in the channel of the Prodigal. Gate 19 sits in the Root and is read as sensitivity to what a community needs; it pairs with Gate 49 in the channel of Synthesis.

So a chart carrying this cross assesses trust and circles back to sense on its surface, while beneath it a private withdrawal answers to a tribal sensitivity. The same four gates also underlie two other role arrangements, and this cross's own reversal is a further Right Angle Cross of the Four Ways.
