Open Question

Does the cloak preserved in the Chamber of the Sacred Relics at Topkapi Palace genuinely belong to the Prophet Muhammad?

Open Question

Identification rests on tradition and unbroken custody. The textile has never been radiocarbon dated or otherwise scientifically tested.

What would resolve this Radiocarbon dating and textile fiber analysis of the cloak, if the Topkapi Palace Museum ever permitted sampling.
