The Congregation of the Holy Spirit, officially the Congregation of the Holy Spirit under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary and abbreviated CSSp, is a Catholic religious congregation for men whose members are also known as Holy Ghost Fathers or Spiritans. It was founded in Paris on 27 May 1703, Whit Sunday, by Claude-Francois Poullart des Places. The congregation is headquartered at the Casa Generalizia on Clivo di Cinna in Rome and, as of 2018, comprised about 2,794 members, including 2,109 priests, led by Superior General Alain Mayama since 2021.
