The Niranjani Akhara, formally Shri Panchayati Akhara Niranjani, is a Shaivite sannyasi monastic order recognized by the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and is counted as the second largest of the akharas after Juna Akhara. Tradition dates its founding to 904. Its ascetics are devoted to Lord Shiva and follow a discipline of penance, yoga, meditation and study of the Vedas, and the order maintains a strong base at Prayagraj. The Anand Akhara is traditionally affiliated with it as a subsidiary order.
