An engraving titled "Philip Melanchthon," by Albrecht Durer, dated 1526, one of four late portrait prints of sitters Durer knew personally. Melanchthon is shown in half length, the plate's own inscription naming him. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art under accession 19.73.117.
