The system maps sixty-four gates, one for each hexagram of the I Ching, onto nine energy centers; the Throat center governs communication, expression and manifestation. The atlas presents Human Design as a recent synthesis, describing its structure in its own terms while flagging clearly that it is a late-twentieth-century construction, not an ancient tradition.Sources1.
