Europe

Germany, officially the Federal Republic of Germany, is the country in Western and Central Europe between the Baltic and North Seas and the Alps, made up of 16 constituent states. The source records that the Kingdom of Germany formed the bulk of the Holy Roman Empire in 962, that northern German regions became the centre of the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century, and that the modern nation-state was unified under Prussia in 1871. Traditions, texts, orders and people are placed here when they arose in the German lands or belong to the country.
