Bharat Sevashram Sangha

Bharat Sevashram Sangha is a Hindu religious and spiritual organization founded in 1917 by Swami Pranavananda and headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, focused on humanitarian service and social welfare. It operates more than three hundred branches in India and abroad, including in the United Kingdom, the United States, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Fiji and Bangladesh, and has extended its work to African nations, Malaysia and Indonesia, with its monks taking part in United Nations delegations to Syria and Lebanon. The Sangha is known for disaster relief, healthcare provision and educational programs, and it maintains a presence at large religious gatherings such as the Kumbh Mela, where it provides pilgrims with shelter, food, medical care and safety services.
