A greywacke statue group of King Menkaure flanked by the goddess Hathor and the personified nome of Diospolis Parva, the seventh nome of Upper Egypt whose symbol was the sistrum, dated to the Fourth Dynasty, about 2551 to 2523 BCE, held by the Egyptian Museum, Cairo under accession JE 46499. Hathor stands at the king's side holding his arm, the sky and motherhood goddess shown as the divine protector of kingship, in the standard composition the triads repeat with different nome-goddesses across the set. The group measures about 95.5 by 48 centimeters and was excavated from Menkaure's valley temple at Giza.
