S. A. A. Rizvi was a historian of Mughal India, and this book, published by Munshiram Manoharlal, is his academic study of the religious and intellectual life of Muslims during the reign of the Mughal emperor Akbar, covering his policy of Sulh i Kul, universal peace, and the Ibadat Khana, the House of Worship, where representatives of different religions debated before the emperor.
