A short, two page column published in a peer reviewed Swiss gynecological endocrinology journal, describing Human Design as a synthesis created in 1987 out of the I Ching, chakra teaching, Kabbalah and astrology used as a counselling instrument. It is honestly the thinnest source in this list to carry a top tier rating: it appears in an academic journal, which is why it is placed there, but the piece itself is a brief, descriptive, uncritical column that offers no independent evaluation of Human Design's claims. It is cited in this atlas narrowly, for the 1987 origin date and the four systems named as its sources, and for nothing beyond that. Any broader claim about Human Design should rest on the movement's own founding text, held separately, or on more substantial outside scholarship if any exists.

Facts

Reliability Tier
1
A brief, two page item in a peer reviewed Swiss gynecological endocrinology journal, written by outside clinicians rather than by anyone teaching Human Design. It is descriptive rather than evaluative and offers no assessment of the system's own claims, so it is cited narrowly for the 1987 synthesis date and the four systems it names as sources. Tier one rests on its peer reviewed, outside provenance, not on the depth of its treatment; it is the thinnest tier one source in this corpus, and a fuller academic account of Human Design's origin has not been found.
Notes
The only academic-press publication located that states the Human Design System's date and composition: a synthesis created in 1987 out of the I Ching (China), the chakra teaching (India), Kabbalah and astrology, used as an instrument of psychological counselling. IT IS A TWO-PAGE CROSS-DISCIPLINARY COLUMN ("Über den Tellerrand"), it is descriptive and uncritical, and it makes no evidential assessment of the system. It is cited in this corpus for the 1987 date and the four synthesised systems and for nothing else. A reviewer who rates it Tier 2 should withdraw the origin-period rows that depend on it.
